Gospel of Mark 7: 31-37

This is the Gospel of Mark 7: 31-37

(Jesus heals a deaf man)

31 On one occasion, Jesus left the region of Tyre and came through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, in the middle region of the Decapolis. 32 Some people brought to him a deaf and stutter and ask Him, so that He laid his hands on him. 33 And He took him aside from the crowd, so that they were alone, he put his fingers into his ears, and he spat and touched his tongue. 34 Then Jesus looked up to heaven he sighed and said to him: "Ephphatha!", Meaning: Be opened! 35 Then the man's ear and immediately separated precisely his tongue, and he spoke plainly. 36 Jesus ordered the people who were there orders not to tell anyone. But his increasingly banned them, the more widely they proclaimed it. 37 They were amazed and astonished and said: "He makes everything good, which made him deaf to hear, the dumb made him speechless."

REFLECTION:

Jesus heal a deaf man
Jesus heal a deaf man
Today we hear Jesus healed the deaf and stutter brought to Him. Jesus separates it from the crowd, Jesus wanted to be alone with the deaf and stutter, Jesus wanted to relate a personal and intimate. By doing so, Jesus can be 'opened' deafness and stuttering that hinder the person to relate to others.

Today's Gospel is so beautiful. If we want to ponder more deeply, we can reflect that in fact we are all sick. We also sometimes ill Deaf and stuttering. We sometimes deaf to God that comes through the people who are around us. There are so many people who need help from us, but sometimes we close ears and pretend deaf so we have no reason not to hear it. We also sometimes Stuttering. We stuttering in terms of proclaiming God's love to others. Either may be due to fear, shame, inferiority or other reasons. Hence we rarely help others. We can not see God in others.

Perhaps also we often become deaf and stutter that makes us unable to relate to others, we do not care about the people around us, we are indifferent and do not want to know, we are busy with ourselves, we do not 'clicking orangkan' people besides us because we are so busy with the hp-hp / BB BB, we busy surfing the internet, so do not be surprised if we become oblivious to many things, we do not know what is happening around us, and worse we are deaf to God's call.

Therefore, let us come to Jesus so that He deign to cure deafness and stuttering us that after we recover we can imitate Jesus to approach those who are "deaf and stutter" because more than half his life in the world of 'virtual' world 'hp' , the world's BB, in the browsing world. We can approach them personally and warmly to open their stuttering towards deafness and their relationships in the real world. Because the real world is more in need of them.

Pray:

Lord thanks to You because You are always close to me. Berkenanlah you open ears and hearts and budiku able to make my tongue proclaim your word. Give me the ability to be able to touch the hearts of others with the warmth of love. Blessed art thou Lord now and all time. Amen.
