Pw St. Catherine of SienaVirgin and Doctor of the Church
Reading I Acts: 12: 24-13: 5a;
Ps 67: 2-3,5,6,8;
Gospel of John: 12: 44-50
Jesus' words are judgmental
But Jesus cried out saying: "Whoever believes in me, he does not believe in me, but in him who sent me; and who sees me sees him who sent me. I have come into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me, do not stay in kegelapan.Dan if anyone hear my words, but do not do it, I can not be the judge, for I came not to judge the world, but to save it. Whoever rejects I and does not accept my words, he was no judge, which is the word that I have spoken, that will be his judge on the last day. For I speak not of myself, but the Father who sent me has commanded I had to say what I had to say and I have to say. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. So what I say, I present it as the Father said unto me. "
REFLECTION
Today the Church commemorates St. Catherine of siena. He was born in 1347 from a large family, yet simple. Despite of the large family Katarina not school reading skills is also very little but of shortcomings that God called and chose him to be carriers of light to the world and the Church. A miraculous event that happened caused a major change in him he saw Christ on the church of St. Dominic is being administered to him. Since then Katarina prayerful and he wanted to devote his entire life to the world and the church that at that time the situation was chaotic priests and Church leaders do not manifest themselves well even be war everywhere. Christ wants Katarina brings light into the dark situation. Thanks to the charisma possessed, he was able to persuade many people it improves the situation of the world and bring the Church back on Christ, he managed to bring sinners to God.
Reading today's Gospel speaks about who Jesus is, why He came to earth? then what should we do? God sent Jesus into the world to bring light to the nations. So that everyone does not live in darkness but in the light of Christ. Therefore, we are asked to believe in Him and hear His words. other than that we are invited to bring light in the family, the environment and our neighbors. Likewise Santa Katarina who bring light to those who are around, let us open our hearts Untik receive the light of Christ. Have we become a light for others? Let's ponder themselves.
